Baby Showers Aren't Just for Babies: Spoil Mama with A Thousand Wishes from Bath & Body Works

Officially Announcing Baby Harmon's Name & Sharing Our Love for The Cotton Cupcake Shoppe! { + a Giveaway}

I'm going to put this out there for anyone planning on having a child or even contemplating the idea, naming a child has proven to be a super difficult task... I'm not sure how people can just know. Maybe my hubby and I are just super indecisive, maybe I'm just picky or he's too traditional but we've had quite the adventure trying to figure out what our daughter's name will be.

Although, nicknaming her came easily and from the time we found out we were expecting we started calling her our little pineapple. She's been known as the pineapple or our pineapple for about 20 weeks now and while the nickname is super cute and may even be one of her nicknames for life, she may not appreciate being named after a fruit that wears a crown when she's an adult so we had to settle on a real name.

We went through list after list, had narrowed it down to handful of names, finally decided on a first name a few weeks ago, then had the hardest time choosing a middle name. But we finally figured it out, I think the name we've chosen is perfect for this little miracle we've been blessed with and I'm so excited to say she's officially named!

I was thinking we might wait until she was born to announce it on the blog, but it's too much fun to finally know her name and not call her by it. Plus, I love personalizing items and I can't imagine hiding some upcoming projects from you, so without further ado, Baby Harmon is officially going to be named Delainey Kate Harmon.

We decided on Delainey weeks ago, it's the perfect mixture of sweet and classic, but choosing a middle name was shockingly more difficult for us. Kate is our final choice because my middle name is Katherine and my mother and sister share the middle name Kaye, so it's kind of like we are continuing a family tradition with a K middle name but adding our own little twist for her.

The Cutest Customized Mermaid Blanket from Mend the Fabric Etsy Shop!

Spoiling my baby girl has become a serious habit lately. From buying her oodles of clothing to making sure I'm gathering all the perfect items to add into her nursery, I've really gotten into mama-bear mode. I suppose you could say I'm "nesting" already and I'm totally okay with that fact, my little darling deserves the best of the best... just as all babies do.

With that said, I recently found a sweet little etsy shop named "Mend The Fabric". This awesome little handmade shop makes the best handmade blankets while also providing phenomenal customer service, two things this mama bear needed in her life!

Mariah is the wonderful mama behind Mend the Fabric and she knows exactly what to do to make a mama-to-be more than happy!

We started our little collaboration out on a great note with a friendly chat about her little babe, her business, and who we both are... and once I let her in on the fact that I was working on a mermaid themed nursery for my little darling, she got the ball rolling.

Within a day or two she had come up with a handful of different design ideas, offered to let me choose the specific fabric for the blanket, and managed to sew a blanket that left me amazed and overjoyed.

Not only did she manage to make the blanket for our little pineapple's room in a few days, she decided to send over this adorable southwestern blanket and diaper holder! The cuteness overflows from this cowgirl-esque set, especially because our girl is going to be an "Oklahoma girl" at heart! I'll be honest and share with you, my only issue with this order is the fact that I'm really having trouble deciding which blanket I like more...

DIY Beach Kits for Guys: The Perfect Simple Little Gift for Him + a Great Way to Drop a Vacation Hint!

I know I say this often, but I love where I live... Florida is amazing. It's "winter" in the rest of the United States, but here in Florida we are basically living the islander lifestyle with our own separate climate! Our Christmas cards are on thick, high quality paper and they're bound to be a hit with our family. With a little bit of a love and a wish for peace - these cards are truly the sweetest! It's true, hubby and I have been rocking this romance for a while now (9 years to be exact), so I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious... and pretty comfortable, as I'm sure most other married couples understand.

Although I'm forever his, any good man knows a woman never wants a man to stop wooing her and he's definitely a good man. While he tries to woo me, he's a guy and well, let's face it, dude logic isn't always the most romantic way of thinking.

I know I enjoy romantic gestures a little bit more than he does, but he tries and that's what counts. He knows my "love language" and he does his very best to make sure I'm happy... and in return, I do the same. That's what's made our relationship last, we both try and that's the one HUGE piece of advice I can give to any couple - always keep trying!

Enough of the chatter though, let's get down to business - Today, I'm sharing a post that'll help any guy woo a woman! So ladies in need of some wooing, just casually leave this post open on your laptop when you leave for the day... and for the men that found this on their own, get ready to figure out what us lady-folk really want and need when it comes to romance!

1. Surprise her with a date night. Leave a new dress and some new jewelry hanging from a light fixture in a room she'll walk into soon after you've left for the day. Leave a little note or send her a text letting her know when to be ready by and then whisk her away to dinner at her favorite spot or a live production of one of her favorite shows.

2. Try something new together! Go out to a new place that she's mentioned recently or bring her to a new place to spin pottery, no matter what - keep exploring the world together.

3. Come home with her favorite flowers for no reason other than to say "I love you". Girls love flowers and feeling like their partner really cares, this is a simple gesture that means a lot to us gals.

8. Pay attention to what she says she likes when you guys are browsing the aisles at her favorite place to shop. If she says she likes a hat from Walmart as you are casually walking by but she doesn't grab it for herself, keep a mental note of it, and surprise her with it on a day you want her to feel extra special. If she points out a pair of undergarments in her favorite fashion magazine, maybe order them without her knowing... letting her know you were listening, even to such a silly little passing thought, will go a long way!

9. Always have a joke on hand. I know this one can be tough for the guys who aren't naturally comedians, but I guarantee your wife loves laughing at you! Be sure to have a few little funnies up your sleeve in case she's having a really bad day.

10. Ask her for a dance. Even if it's in an inappropriate spot while you're walking around downtown or visiting her parents, if you hear your song then ask her to dance with you. Have a little slow dance in the kitchen if it plays over Pandora even, remind her of the night she married you with your sick dance moves and she'll fall in love with you all over again.

11. Leave her little love notes in the pocket of her favorite hoodie or her favorite jeans. The random little reminder of love is such a heartwarming gesture and it takes hardly any effort!

12. Turn off your phone and cuddle up with a rom-com. Watching a movie together is always fun, but choose something that you know she wants to see, something light-hearted and sweet is your best bet! Bring home some of her favorite candy, the movie, and a new blanket to cuddle up under and I'm certain you'll have the best date night ever, in her opinion.

Now those 12 simple romantic gestures aren't too complicated, I think most men could pull them off without much effort at all!
