Hosting a brunch is a piece of cake with these simple instructions for the perfect brunch and the recipe included for Breakfast Potato Bowls is amazing!

Breakfast Potato Bowls

Ingredients:
8 medium russet potatoes
1/4 cup chopped sweet pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tbsp olive oil
6 eggs
1 tbsp milk
6 slices of bacon, cooked thoroughly and chopped somewhat finely
1/2 cup cheddar jack cheese
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tsp garlic
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper

You'll begin making these beauties by preheating the oven to 475 degrees.

Next you'll want to microwave all of the potatoes for approximately 9 minutes, then flip them and microwave for about 7 more minutes. Take the potatoes out of the microwave and let cool.

While you're waiting for the potatoes to chill, saute the chopped sweet pepper in a medium sized skillet. Once the peppers have softened some, add in the chopped onion and olive oil and allow the mixture to simmer until the onions are becoming clearish.

The next step in the recipe is to beat all of the eggs and the milk together. You'll want to add in the bacon and then pour the mixture into the pepper and onion scramble.

Now that the potatoes are likely cooler, cut each one in half and scoop out most of the inside, setting it aside in a large mixing bowl.

In the mixing bowl, add in the cheddar jack cheese and whipping cream, stirring vigorously. Pop this mixture in the microwave for just about 20 seconds or so and continue onto the next step.

Put skins face down on the pan and lightly add olive oil to each one.

Now in a small dish combine the garlic, paprika, sea salt, and black pepper and dust this mixture over the lightly oiled potato skins and bake approximately 8 minutes or so.

Take these beauties out of the oven and we're almost done!

To complete the recipe, add some of the potato mixture you removed and made earlier, top this with the egg scramble mixture and sprinkle with a nice amount of cheese over the top.

Place these back into the oven for around 4 minutes and serve!

Easter is almost here and that means I've been ogling all the adorable bunny items in every store I visit... and it also means that the "Easter Bunny" will be visiting my house soon. For now, though, I decided to play the Easter Bunny in our home and set up a scrumptious little candy snack bar with See's Candies during our most recent weekend brunch.

I'm so excited to celebrate Easter the very same way next year, with a special new member of our family. Getting to see the joy Easter brings from a child's point of view will make this tradition that much more amazing... but I'll be honest and share that this year I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to snack on delicious candy and other brunch-time favorites!

To celebrate Easter in style our little candy snack bar had to include all of the best American-made See's Easter candies with some flair added to the table.

As I mentioned, there were Springtime Truffles and Sour Bunnies, as well as Rocky Road Eggs, Chocolate Butter Eggs with Walnuts, Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Bunnies of all sizes, Jelly Beans, and even a giant Easter Treasure egg!

Everyone was able to find something to treat their sweet tooth after brunch and it was marvelous. The last important addition to the table was a colorful springtime plate and napkins set, now my table was ready for guests to enjoy and you can prepare your dessert table this easily too!

DIY Spring Flowers Painted Wine Glasses Tutorial with Finish® & a Target GC Giveaway

Who else is super excited days are finally getting longer and the weather seems to be getting warmer? There's just something about spring... I've always been one to cherish the season, so I made a set of painted wine glasses recently that capture spring perfectly! Covered in colorful flowers and so uniquely mine - I'm so in love with how they turned out, I just have to share a tutorial with you so you can make a set of your own!

DIY Spring Flowers Painted Wine Glasses Tutorial with Finish® & a Target GC Giveaway

These little beauties are so easy to make and they are such a fun way to express your creativity! I personalized each glass with a different color flower on the bottom, a fun accent that makes each glass extra special!

I'm excited to continue making painted wine glasses - I'm even thinking these would make an awesome gift for a newlywed couple, a special treat for mom on mother's day, or even a little present to yourself (everyone should craft pretty little things for themselves)!

You'll want to pick up a set of 4 stemless wine glasses and a pack of Finish® Max in ONE™ tablets to make sure your glasses are super clean! Plus, you can Save 5% on NEW! Max in ONE™ & Quantum Max™ Small Size with Target's Cartwheel app from 3/29-4/25.  Don't forget to grab an extra pack, so you can shine & protect all your glassware!

The first and most important step is to wash your glasses with the Finish® Max in ONE™ tablets! They'll be noticeably cleaner and ready for paint after just one quick run through your dishwasher!

DIY Spring Flowers Painted Wine Glasses Tutorial with Finish® & a Target GC Giveaway

While your glasses are in the dishwasher, you'll want to set up your paint area. You'll need a handful of different acrylic paints and a varnish to finish your glasses. Most likely, you'll want a few different paint brush options! Don't forget an older cup to rinse the brush in and a palette to keep the paint on.

DIY Spring Flowers Painted Wine Glasses Tutorial with Finish® & a Target GC Giveaway

Once you have everything set up, it's time to get crafty. While I'm no expert flower painter, I had fun painting a variety of different flowers on my glasses. I actually practiced my flower painting skills on a canvas so that I could show off how I create all of the different types of flowers, you can copy these styles or create your own! Get creative and go to town on your glasses!

Cover the glasses from the bottom to about half-way up the glass, making sure not to paint to the rim (otherwise the paint will wear thin quickly). Add flowers until your glasses look absolutely perfect, let the paint dry and then it's time for the finishing touches!

DIY Spring Flowers Painted Wine Glasses Tutorial with Finish® & a Target GC Giveaway

Once the paint has dried, you'll need to varnish each glass. I used a matte varnish and only applied it where I had painted with acrylic (because I learned the hard way if you coat the whole glass you'll likely end up with streaks). I applied two coats  of varnish, waiting for the first coat to dry before applying the second coat. Once the varnish has dried completely, it's time to party! Pour win in each glass and invite friends over!

While you are sipping your wine with your besties, you'll definitely want to enter this giveaway! You have the chance to win all kinds of goodies, including gift cards so you can snag some Finish® tablets for yourself next time you make a Target run!

After finishing up these glasses, I've decided I want to make a set with gold polka dots and maybe a set with a nautical, beachy design. I'd love to hear what designs you think would be fun to paint on wine glasses?

Who else is excited about spring?

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

I know, I know... I've been going on and on about the season change and how much I love spring time, but I'm a huge fan of warm weather... and there's a slight possibility I'm counting down the days until summer break! I can't wait to sit back on the patio with a glass of lemonade and a good book while absorbing some vitamin D, without the worry of school!

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

Another thing I look forward to this summer is having little parties on my patio. While I'm longing for the hot, fun summer nights, I'm glad I had the chance to organize a small brunch time get-together this weekend and we were able to celebrate the holiday weekend in style.

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

I was lucky enough to be at Wal-Mart while they were hosting a demo for Country Time Lemonade Starters and I just fell in love with the way the pink lemonade tasted! I knew it had to be included in my brunch menu the second the first sip hit my lips!

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

I also knew I had to jazz up the lemonade with my own touch, I just wasn't sure how... then I saw flavored water on an end cap just a few aisles away from the free lemonade sample. Then that's when it happened, I decided to make a Sparkling Lemonade Bar.

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

Instead of opting for the standard mimosa bar, this weekend we chose to offer something a little more family friendly during brunch and served up a Sparkling Lemonade bar! Boy, the concoctions we put together  are not only delicious but absolutely beautiful... I mean what's not to love about a "sparkling" drink?

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

Need more reasons to love this spring (and summer) time favorite? You'll be glad to know it's super easy to make (just add water), flavored with real lemon juice, and contains 50% less sugar than leading regular sodas! What more could a girl ask for?

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

This tasty treat comes in three flavors you'll definitely want to stock up on: Classic Lemonade, Berry Lemonade, and lastly Half Lemonade & Half Iced Tea.

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

As I mentioned, I combined my lemonade with flavored water to create a beautiful sparkling lemonade, this pairing of two of my favorites is mind-blowingly good and the perfect beverage to enjoy on a warm, spring day.

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

I'm going to simply break down each drink, so that you'll know exactly how I mixed each beverage together.

Just a little side note: You should probably ask yours guests to gather around and help you prepare the bottles, since it looks SO beautiful being poured! I took pictures while hubby poured and I oooohhhhh'd and ahhhhhhh'd as I watched the Berry lemonade pour into the pineapple coconut water, such a sight to see... Sparkling lemonade is some pretty neat stuff, isn't it?

The Sparkling Lemonade Bar Drink Selections:

Cactus-Lime Lemonade
(Country Time Classic Lemonade Starter + Cactus-Lime Water + Lemon Slices)

Berry Tropical Lemonade
(Country Time Berry Lemonade Starter + Pineapple Coconut Water)

Strawberry Lemonade
(Country Time Classic Lemonade Starter  + Strawberry Water + Fresh Strawberries)

Raspberry Palmers
(Country Time 1/2 Lemonade  & 1/2 Iced Tea Starter  + Raspberry Water + Lemon Slices)

I decorated my Sparkling Lemonade Bar with a few other fun items including "sparkling straws", an adorable sparkling lemonade themed printable (you can download it for free here), shimmering white tulips, and sprinkle dusted cupcakes with butterfly gummy accents! I also used ribbon, clothespins, and paint swatches to make a bunting banner that matches my set up perfectly. That's all you need for the perfect brunch set up!

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

You know what they say: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade that sparkles... or something like that! So while I'm in the midst of a million projects for the blog, planning holiday festivities, preparing and prepping our meal plans, applying for school next semester, organizing taxes, getting ready for our trip to the midwest next month, and working on homework, it was nice to drop everything for a little bit and enjoy a glass (or two - okay, maybe three) of sparkling lemonade.

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

While this little brunch lemonade shindig was a blast, I can't wait to sip on this lemonade all through out the summer on my patio with friends and family enjoying our time together. I'll definitely be making the Raspberry Palmers again as well, they were a HIT!

Brunch + A Sparkling Lemonade Bar - Pour More Fun with Country Time Lemonade Starters

I'd love to know, What spring (and summer) activities are you excited about? I think your activities should include a delicious glass of sparkling lemonade or two, you won't regret it!
