How to Get Your Deposit Back When Moving Out of a Rental with Green Works
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #NaturallyClean #CollectiveBias
As you probably already know, we moved recently. This means that we had to do something that I've always thought was second nature when moving out of a home, we had to deep clean every square inch. From the bathtub to the refrigerator drawers, we scrubbed and wiped to make sure it was perfect for the next tenant.
Wiping down every surface, scrubbing every inch of the kitchens and the bathrooms, dusting, sweeping, mopping, even wiping down baseboards... it's all a necessary part of giving your place back in pristine condition... even if you are a clean-freak while living in the home, once all your furniture is moved out it's still nice to clean the entire place! Plus, as a renter, you are more likely to get your deposit back in full if your place is in tip-top shape!

Spicy Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps
If you are anything like me, you love a good home cooked meal but sometimes cooking just sounds like no fun at all. Since life gets busy and most of us have pretty full agendas, spending hours in the kitchen (even though I work from home) just really isn't an option. I'm all about quick and convenient; but now that I've recently lost a bunch of weight, I'm also all about eating healthy and nutrient rich foods.
These easy to prepare Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wraps are insanely delicious with pops of spicy flavor and cool ranch mixed together inside of a romaine lettuce wrap. There really isn't anything better on a hot summer night than a healthy and super delicious meal like these wraps. Plus, all the prep work you really have to do is boiling a pot of water! That means if you can make ramen or macaroni, you are totally capable of making your friends (or family) this delicious recipe.
2 Chicken Breast
Start this recipe by boiling a medium sized pot full of water. Right before the water begins to boil, place chicken breast into the water and allow to boil until it's done. While waiting for the water to boil, remove the super hard stems from the romaine and chop up enough of the onion and tomato for everyone.
Remove from water and shred in bowl with two forks (or using a beater in a mixing bowl).
Drizzle a small amount of lemon, season with salt and pepper lightly, and pour a decent amount of hot sauce.
Spoon about an ounce of chicken inside of the romaine lettuce and top with a nice amount of tomato and onion. Add a little bit of ranch to each wrap and dinner is served!

DIY Dresser into Vintage Pottery Barn Entertainment Center + Our New Living Room {Work in Progress}
I'm kind of obsessed with organization lately, my house is a work in progress still but I'm loving learning new ways to store my belongings and ridding my home of all the extra "shtuff" I don't need. It's a cleansing process.
I'm so ready for the change and looking forward to organizing everything in our new place, something else that changed when we moved into our new house is our furniture!
We've updated our couch, decided to add some new super jazzy and fun modern art pillows from Lanre, and hubs and I even did a remodel on an old dresser to make it into a gorgeous Pottery Barn-esque entertainment center. We've learned which projects we should leave to the pros and which projects are worth putting a little bit of effort into. Since I can't sew (yet) and he's not exactly mechanical, we decided to leave the couch and the pillows to the pros.
We found our couch at a consignment shop, brand new straight from a furniture show room and it had just arrived the day we bought it. I highly recommend buying used if you are wanting to create a beautiful room on a budget.
If you want to find pillows just as amazing as these beauties, you can find more here... as well as some information about the artist behind the brand and other beautiful products! I love the way they feel to touch and the colors against our beige couch really pop and add a fun, jazzy coffee house vibe to the room.
Now on to the fun DIY project. We actually completed this beautiful make over in only ONE day and it completely changed the piece to something beautiful. For this project, we used Waverly Chalk Paint in Cashew and Clear Wax that I found in the clearance section at Walmart. Meaning, this dresser to entertainment center makeover only cost us $6 (mind you, the dresser was a freebie find on Craigslist).
To get this project started you'll want to find a place where you can paint in an open area (either outdoors or on a patio or sun porch). Open the windows and lay down newspaper, just in case. Wipe down the piece of furniture with a window cleaner. Remove the hardware from drawers and then remove the drawers themselves.Once the drawers are removed, you will want to remove the track on which the drawer sits from the two top shelves.
Using light and long brush strokes, start applying a layer of the cashew paint all over the oustide of the dresser. You aren't looking for perfection, allow your painting to be a little loose and the chalk paint affect will be perfect. We did two coats of chalk paint on the structure of the dresser and one
coat on the drawers, allowing for a weathered nautical look. We also
used an older wall paint that we already had in our stock pile to add a
pop of color inside of the drawer space.
After you finish painting, you'll need to use wax to coat the project. We used a restaurant style napkin as our "lint free cloth" and rubbed the wax in well. Allow the project to sit for several hours until dry, cut two small
holes in the lower bottom of the drawers you will be leaving open to
allow your electronic cords to run through the back of your new
"entertainment center". Place all the drawers back in the dresser and all of your electronics in
their place and now you have a super fun entertainment center with
plenty of storage for your movies and other electronic goodies like
remotes, gaming systems, etc.
I'm still deciding on what artwork I want to hang in my living room, but for now I'm happy that the pillows and the new entertainment center are bringing a super fun and funky vibe to the room.
Now that I've shared a little bit more about how we are decorating the new place, I'd love to know... What's your favorite room in your home? What about that room makes it your favorite?

Make Everyday a Beach Day with Palm Breeze
Although I'm a beachy girl, I suppose you could say I'm a high maintenance beach go-er as well. I'm the type to bring everything from a good book, a sheet to lay out on, a couple of chairs, a cooler, a shovel to help plant my umbrella in the sand, and a handful of other useful and important items... my favorite part of my beach loot, is anything but high maintenance though! My beverage of choice is delicious, right out of the can, and the absolute best way to unwind a little while watching the waves roll in. Palm Breeze is the best tropical beverage to enjoy on the beach, that's why I like to call it fun & sun in a can!
Maybe you haven't heard of Palm Breeze yet? It's a malt beverage, similar to a beer, but better! It's the first product of it's kind made specifically for women. The flavors are just fruity enough to make you smile, but not overwhelmingly sweet... Perfect! Think of all the girly drinks you order while on vacation, Palm Breeze is the girly beer version of those tasty, tropical beverages!
I love that Palm Breeze comes in two delicious, tropical flavors, Ruby Red Citrus and Pineapple Mandarin Orange; both of which are superb! The flavors of these drinks remind me of sitting on a beach, even whenever I open one at home; there's just something about Palm Breeze! You'll have to try it for yourself to see what I mean!
With a Palm Breeze in hand this summer, I'm ready to absorb as much Vitamin D as possible. I suppose you could say it has become a regular part of spending a day at the beach for me. So whether you are planning a trip to the lake, hosting a big BBQ get together, or just craving something girly and delicious, I say you give Palm Breeze a try and make everyday a beach day!
