I love going to see my favorite bands perform live, there's nothing like hearing your favorite song begin to play, right in front of you, for the very first time ever. It's a thrilling experience to say the least and my favorite concert memory involves one of my absolute favorite bands, My Morning Jacket.

MMJ performed at the Americanrama Fest, which wasn't really a festival but a small bundle of bands playing that included some other awesome performances by Wilco, Bob Weir, and Bob Dylan.

My Morning Jacket's performance was unbelivable. It had just started raining, there was electricty in the air from the lightening crashing all around the ampitheater, and then "Circuital" started to play and it sounded clearer and more vivid than I have ever heard it... Sometimes when I hear bands play I'm disappointed because they sound nothing like their recordings, My Morning Jacket was the opposite of this: they sound better live, if that's even possible.

I sat there in awe as I watched my favorite band play some of their hits, sipped a few adult beverages, and just danced my heart out. I had the best time I've ever had at any concert... Why I Run: Support The Cause with Skechers Breast Cancer Awareness Shoes

If you're a regular reader you already know Getting Fit in 2014 is my ultimate goal, now that I've teamed up with Skechers I have the most awesome pair of Pink Ribbon shoes to help me on my journey. Since moving to Florida I've participated in a few 5K's, which means I've now run (more like jogged and/or walked) hundreds of miles while "training" for these events and participating in them. I've pushed myself farther than I ever thought possible and I'm going to continue to do so. I'm so proud of my progress and achievements thus far. I can't even begin to explain the way I love running now, not only have I changed my mindset towards the activity, I've changed my mindset in general: I now know anything I think I can do, I will be able to do if I work hard enough.

One thing I've noticed while running is that my shoes matter; if my shoes are comfortable and provide the support I need, I can run longer and faster. The Perfect Halloween Treat: Stuffed Baby Pepper Monsters Made with Skinnygirl Hummus

Hummus is one of those foods I didn't think I would like so I never tried it, then a few years ago I tried some at the request of my husband... and now I can honestly say I'm obsessed. Since I'm on NutriSystem right now, I watch what I eat pretty closely though so hummus kind of felt off limits. Now that I've found Skinnygirl Hummus I can snack and feel like I'm indulging even though I'm not really indulging at all. This delicious and unique hummus is made with non-fat greek yogurt, which may sound strange but it has the same great taste that we all love with a extra creamy texture - it's seriously so good. Plus, I'm also a huge fan of the fact that it's made with all natural ingredients, I think that's the real secret to it's great taste!

This hummus is a great snack and is absolutely delicious with carrots or baby peppers... Ingredients:

Reduced Fat Italian Cheese

Olives

These cute little guys are super easy to make, you just cut off the tops of the baby peppers and stuff them with Skinnygirl Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. Then heat the italian cheese in the  safe bowl (for approximately 10 seconds or until gooey but not completely melted) and roll the cheese into several small balls and flatten it. Stick the flattened "cheese ball" to the side of the hummus stuffed pepper and add an olive to the center of the cheese. Now you have a one-eyed Stuffed Baby Pepper Monster of your own.

My Photography Secret: How I Achieve Great Lighting in Dark Situations

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Mini Cookie Cakes: The Best Cookies Ever - Made With Only SIX Ingredients!

I recently was given the opportunity to review a Grazia mini-cupcake silicone baking pan and I'm obsessed with all of the cute creations I can make with it. Although I'm on NutriSystem and haven't had any added sweets lately, I made hubby a batch of my famous cookies in mini-cupcake form and they turned out wonderfully so I just have to share this mini cookie cake recipe. Plus, with only SIX ingredients these are SUPER simple to make!



Do you have a dinner party or special event coming up over the holidays? These little perfectly portioned cookies will be a hit! You can eat these little cookies plain or top with icing, ice cream, or even additional chocolate chips or peanut butter to make these feel more like "cookie cake"; the possibilities are endless!

6 Ingredient Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Mini Cookie Cakes Recipe

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed 

1 large egg
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup (approximately) chocolate chips

You'll start by combining brown sugar, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix on medium-high speed with a mixer or stir for an extended period of time, be sure the mixture is well combined and not gritty or granular. Now add baking soda and chocolate chips, continue to stir.

Roll into ball shapes and place cookie dough in refrigerator for an hour or more (overnight would work even).

When ready to bake pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees (F) and place cookie dough balls into the  cups of the pan and gently push them down a bit so they will spread easily into the shape of the cup. Bake for around 8-10 minutes, possibly longer depending on how crispy you want your mini cookie cakes.

Allow cookie cakes to cool and easily pop them out of the silicone pan and enjoy!

Satisfaction: My Favorite Guilty Pleasure TV Show

I wasn't sure what to expect when tuning in to watch the first episode of Satisfaction,

the name kind of left me wondering and the zen aspect of the show really had me curious. The fact that it comes on at a later time slot really made me think this show may be a little risque... and while the storyline features some touchy subjects, the show is a favorite in our home! This couple has it all and still aren't happy, watch as they discover secrets and make some shocking decisions. I was instantly taken in by the characters: Neil, the main character, struggles to function and be content in the rat race of everyday life and his wife Grace struggles with her creativity and how she can keep her long-lasting marriage thrilling, while their daughter, Annika, makes for some pretty comical scenes with a super witty personality.

If you binge watch the most recent hit shows, you'll want to add this one to your "must watch" list. Satisfaction is on par with some of the best shows out there: the plot twists, the humor, the drama, the suspense... it's definitely a show that I look forward to watching every single week... Sad thing is, tomorrow {Thursday} @ 10PM is the season finale.. I don't want to wait for the show to come back on, season finales always make me so sad but I guess in the mean time I'll just re-watch.

8 Bands You Should Get To Know + #Brainwavz S1 Headphones

I've always had a problem with finding headphones that actually fit and stay inside of my ears, I suppose my ears are a little smaller than average. I'm so happy Brainwavz approached me to review their S1 headphones, they fit my ears to a tee since they provide several sizes of buds to choose from plus the quality of sound is incredible.

Weight Gurus Digital Body Fat Scale with Smartphone Tracking Review

I was give the opportunity to review this Weight Gurus Smartphone Tracking Digital Body Fat Scale recently and I'm absolutely in love with it. One of my favorite things about this scale is that it has the option to just see the amount of weight I've lost and not my actual weight - this allows me to stay focused on my loss and not on a specific weight, which I love. Not only does this scale allow me to focus on my loss over all, it helps me document my progress as I use it with the Weight Gurus app!

The image below is a screen shot of the app on my iPhone. The app is super easy to navigate and you scan your weight onto your phone using your camera and the bar code that pops up on the scale. I'm super excited to share that  I'm down 7.2lbs since I received the scale in early August; with 2.2lbs of the L-B's being lost in September, and .9lbs during this week specifically! That's huge progress thus far and I can't wait to see how Nutrisystem helps starting later this month!

I love that the app that accompanies the scale also has a percentage progress meter, I still have a long way to go but seeing that I'm already 15% to my goal is so motivating!

Now, I'm going to be honest and mention that the features that tell you your "water, muscle, and fat" percentage are somewhat untrustworthy. They seem to fluctuate way too much to be completely accurate... but the scale measures my weight accurately every time. Another thing I don't necessarily like is related to the app on my phone, it encourages me to weigh in daily... which for some may be okay, but for me it can lead to disappointment if I'm up a little one day. I feel like it's much healthier to weight less often so I don't pay attention to the part that encourages me to weight daily.

This scale is the perfect addition to our home to help me measure my weight loss goals and I look forward to stepping on it in the future and realizing I've hit my goal and I've accomplished 100% of my weight loss, until then I'll keep working at it!

With so many greens in one smoothie, how could I not be? I was left feeling satisfied and extremely healthy, which means this smoothie is definitely a repeat in our home!

I use about 1/2 of the Essential Greens with Lime, 2-3 handfuls of additional spinach, 1/4 a large cucumber; chopped, 2 bananas, 10-15 strawberries, and a handful of blueberries!

I also had the opportunity to try the Pineapple Coconut Water, Super Green, Organic Sweet Burn, Organic V, and the Sweet Greens with Ginger.

The Pineapple Coconut water is a clean and refreshing blend, the perfect beach drink! I'm a huge fan of adding a tiny dash of coconut rum into it as well, if you feel so inclined. With only pineapple and coconut water on the ingredient list, these are so much healthier than other brands of coconut water I've seen on the market and so much tastier!

The Super Green is super rich with greens and tastes deliciously healthy. I loved how clean it tastes while still having a kick of sweetness. I enjoyed my juice with one of Evolution's Harvest bars, which are so healthy and scrumptious; Chalk full of seeds, nuts, and granola - making them a great, clean snack to pair with a juice! The Super Green juice includes orange juice, mango puree, apple juice, pineapple juice, raspberry puree, spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, barley grass, and dulse! So good!

After the Organic Strawberry Lemonade, I didn't think I would like any of the other juices as much... Boy, was I wrong! The Organic Sweet Burn is the best morning drink I have ever tried. It's refreshing with a punch, the perfect wake-me-up blend featuring a dash of cayenne pepper as well as Organic coconut water and organic juices (apple, pineapple, beet, ginger, lemon)! Without getting my caffeine kick, the cayenne pepper helps keep me jazzed while sipping this - the perfect answer for those of us trying to ditch our coffee habit!

The Organic V is a fun blend, made from Organic juices - carrot, apple, celery, lemon, beet, spinach, lime, parsley, and ginger! The beet and carrot stand out the most to me in the juice but they are complimented nicely by the taste of the apple and the strong punch of tang the lime adds! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Organic V, the blend of the juices kind of scared me... but I'm glad I tried it, I would've been missing out on a delicious and healthy treat if I hadn't.

I tried the Sweet Greens with Ginger last and decided it's another great blend to mix into things - it's decent alone but mixing it into a homemade ice cream recipe sounded way more tempting than drinking it alone. I froze the Sweet Greens with Ginger into ice cubes, then mixed it with frozen bananas, and frozen raspberries to make a homemade fro-yo with my Swirlio. The taste was phenomenal and it was so easy to make!
