Stitch Fix is a New Mama's Best Friend!

Thanks for being a part of today's discussion, while this isn't exactly a sponsored post, there are affiliate links below... Thanks for helping support my family and my blog!
That's the thing I like most about Stitch Fix, I find things I never would buy myself, like kimonos, and then I also end up with things so incredibly similar to what I have (and love) already that it's like my stylist just gets me. Are you ready to find a stylist that just gets you? Are you a fellow mama that needs a fashion pick-me-up at your doorstep? Check out Stitch Fix... I promise you won't be disappointed!

Fashion isn't really in my vocabulary lately... neither is shopping. I thought I'd be devastated when this day came... but honestly, I'm so in love with Delainey that anything outside of Delainey's world isn't really part of my world right now. So one day, we'll go shopping together and embrace the fashion world as a team, but for now I wear printed t-shirts and yoga pants more often than not... and well, let's be frank, I'm lucky to fit a shower in some days.

While I love how much she loves me and taking care of her is literally my favorite thing in the world, I'll admit I was just a little excited when I saw fashion arrive at my doorstep in the form of my Stitch Fix box! The goodies inside my box this month did not disappoint, I think I may even request this stylist again... I also need to request a bigger pocketbook so I can keep everything in every fix they send!

That's the thing I like most about Stitch Fix, I find things I never would buy myself, like kimonos, and then I also end up with things so incredibly similar to what I have (and love) already that it's like my stylist just gets me. With that said, We'll start with the one thing I loved from the get-go... the kimono! This colorful, floral number is definitely a must have for every mamas wardrobe. I love the flowyness and worn with a nursing tank and a comfy pair of pants, I imagine I'll be wearing this beauty all summer long and into fall! I'm seriously gaga over it.

Next on my list of favorites were the plum pants. There's just something about pants made by Stitch Fix. They have this "Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants" thing to them, they literally fit me so well... and form to my body. I'm obsessed... and I'm pretty sure I've said this about every single other pair of pants I've been sent my SF. Maybe one time I'll ask for all pants?! That's how serious I am about the comfort of these beauties. What's keeping me from keeping the pants, you may ask? I already own a pair similar in a smaller size and I'm aiming to get back into that size SOON.

That's the thing I like most about Stitch Fix, I find things I never would buy myself, like kimonos, and then I also end up with things so incredibly similar to what I have (and love) already that it's like my stylist just gets me. Another item I really liked was the grey open back sweater, but I recently bought something like this from Crown and Ivy AND it's Florida so long sleeves just aren't practical for me right now. Although, this is absolutely one of my favorite things a stylist has ever sent... so that's something! I love the way it drapes, the open back showing the gorgeous fabric underneath, the soft material... it's perfect, just not for me - right now.

One item I liked but I thought could've been a little more flattering on someone else was the navy striped long sleeve top. Maybe I'm just being harsh on myself, but the stripes just aren't for me. The embellished elbows are probably my favorite part of the top... but again, I can't look past the stripes on this mama belly.

And the last item in my fix, really was adorable... but again, it just didn't look good on me! The striped shirt with fun patterned sleeves could be the perfect addition to another mama's wardrobe but it just looks unflattering on me.

With that said, everything in this box was fabulous... just not all of it was meant to be added to my wardrobe at this time! Rocking My New Fashion Forward Frames [+ a Discount for You!]

Wearing glasses doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style! Check out these two trendy and fun looks inspired by my new spectacles!

As you probably already noticed, I'm rocking a little baby bump as of lately and that means I've done a bit of growing... not just in the literal sense, but I suppose you could say I'm growing up too. I've finally decided that I can't ignore my astigmatism any longer and it's time for me to start wearing my glasses, as prescribed.

Wearing glasses doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style! Check out these two trendy and fun looks inspired by my new spectacles!

The best part about rocking my glasses again is all the fashionable options on the market now. It's been TEN years since I picked out my first pair and while my eye sight hasn't gotten any better, the choices for frames definitely have!

Wearing glasses doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style! Check out these two trendy and fun looks inspired by my new spectacles!

Today I'm pairing two funky and fun pairs of glasses with two equally as fun outfits, just because we all know glasses aren't just for seeing - their also an accessory!

Wearing glasses doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style! Check out these two trendy and fun looks inspired by my new spectacles!

My first outfit is what I like to call my business casual pregnancy, with a pair of sassy cat eye glasses and a lace-backed vest I felt like I was ready to take on the world. I paired this sassy and sophisticated look with a few casual staples from my closet, a black and white striped 3/4 sleeve shirt, my super comfy jean leggings from a day of discount shopping with my family, and a funky pair of turquoise shoes that are just the bees knees! While I didn't have any official meeting to attend that day, I loved this look and feel like it's the perfect way for me to dress up my bump when I want to feel a little dressy but not go overboard!

Wearing glasses doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style! Check out these two trendy and fun looks inspired by my new spectacles!

My other outfit is way more casual, but my typical style. With a pair of what I like to call my "trendy" or "hipster" glasses, I was able to show off my cool side! I paired this outfit with a cute little pair of maternity shorts, a lace raglan jersey from a recent Stitch Fix, my favorite knitted hat, and of course, a pair of adorable red sneakers to top off my trendy look. I love how versatile this look is, whether I'm going to the local street fair or heading out for a decaf coffee with my gal pal - this is the perfect way to embrace my inner hipster and still rock my super cool glasses with style.

Should it Stay or Should it Go Now? Help Decide! Stitch Fix #5

Today's discussion contains affiliate links; regardless, all opinions expressed below are my own!

Have you heard of Stitch Fix? Check out these adorable items chosen specifically for ME by a stylist!

Well, as we all know after celebrating... it's officially a new year, which means it's a new month, and with the changing of the months comes a new fix! I'm so incredibly excited to share the goodies that arrived in my Stitch Fix this month and since I can't decide which items to keep, I need your help narrowing down which pieces should stay or go... hence, The Clash lyric title for this post.

Have you heard of Stitch Fix? Check out these adorable items chosen specifically for ME by a stylist!

If you're new to the whole Stitch Fix thing, let me catch you up to speed: It's basically like having the coolest best friend ever, a stylist shops specifically for YOU and then sends you a handful of items that will look awesome on you, in your size. You try it all on, decide what to keep, and then send the items you don't want back! You can sign up for just one fix or keep 'em rolling in monthly (like I do). Sign up to receive your first fix here! Now that you know how it all works, let's get down to business.

Have you heard of Stitch Fix? Check out these adorable items chosen specifically for ME by a stylist!

The first couple of items I'm going to discuss today I actually decided to try on as an outfit, because it just looked perfect together laying in the box.

Have you heard of Stitch Fix? Check out these adorable items chosen specifically for ME by a stylist!

We'll start with the Market & Spruce Bernadette Lace Overlay Raglan Top, it's the perfect mixture of girly and tomboy and my FAVORITE item I've ever received from Stitch Fix. I think this one is a definite keeper, but what do you think?

Have you heard of Stitch Fix? Check out these adorable items chosen specifically for ME by a stylist!

Now, on the other hand, the Liverpool Anita Skinny Pant in Olive are one of those fix items that I didn't necessarily like in the box, but fell in love with the comfort and style once they were on. I'm still wavering on whether or not I'll actually wear these beauties, but who am I kidding? I love every single pair of pants I've kept from Stitch Fix and I've never sent back a pair...

The last item I paired with this outfit is the Nakamol Calder Hammered Triangle Pendant Necklace. While it's pretty and unique, I'm just over the Stitch Fix jewelry selection and want MORE clothing in my boxes! With that said, I really am digging the style of this necklace, what do you think of it?

Now for a little adjustment in my wardrobe, here's the most wintery item Stitch Fix has ever sent me... and boy, is it cute! This RD Style Drake Cowl Neck Pullover Sweater is the perfect cold-weather item and it's so stylish. I'm just not sure how often I will wear it, do you think it's a keeper or should I hold out for another more Florida-friendly sweater in the future?

Last but not least, Stitch Fix sent over this little cobalt blue number from Collective Concepts and I'm in love. When I saw the Arvella dress in the box, I truly thought it looked a bit too 80's but once it was on and the gold shimmer started to reflect the sunlight - I totally understood why my stylist included it. The cut perfectly accentuates my waist and paired with my gold flats I'm able to rock a casual and cute look all day long! With that said, I think I've just sold myself on this beauty, but I'd love to hear what you think!

My Travel Essentials: Everything a Girl Needs for a Getaway

This post is brought to you by Vera Bradley and Her Campus Media.

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

Going home to see family is something I look forward to all year long, it's just one of those things that will never get old. With copious amounts of homework and a pending due date always on the horizon each and every week, I'm so glad to be taking a break and walking away from it all for a little bit.

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

I'm also super excited about my new Vera Bradley bag. It's the weekender bag in Parisian Paisley and it's so roomy and perfect for a little hop to the Midwest! I packed a handful of winter clothing, a couple pairs of leggings and boots, as well as my whole kit and caboodle of travel essentials and my Vera Bradley bag still has room to spare for presents as well... because we all know it's fun to go home and get spoiled!

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

Speaking of being spoiled, as I mentioned, I have a whole kit and caboodle of stuff I need to bring with me on all trips... I wouldn't say I'm high-maintenance, but I do like to have a little bit of everything important while I'm away from home.

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

While I try to keep things simple, I tend to overpack... but everything I'm sharing today is included on my MUST HAVE list! Here's what I bring on every getaway and why:

My Kindle Fire so I can read and entertain myself during layovers or long hauls on the road... I'm totally guilty of getting lost in a book on a vacation and I love every single second of it.

My next must have is obvious - chapstick. Whether you're going somewhere sunny and need a little protection from a sunburn or your heading somewhere cold and need to soothe your chilled chapped lips, this is a necessity for everyday life really.

Another technology related must-have for all road trips - headphones! Not everyone wants to hear Drake busting out of your cell phone nor do they want the play-by-play from the episode of Teen Mom you're watching on Hulu. Go ahead and plug in a nice pair of COMFORTABLE headphones. Try on a few pairs and find what works best for you!

You'll probably also want to pack a journal with you, at least I always want one with me. As a creative person, you never know when a good idea will strike - you don't always have access to technology because those silly devices die, but usually a pencil (or pen, most of the time) is pretty reliable. Plus, if you see someone famous you can ask for their autograph... because who doesn't love fangirl-ing in the middle of an airport or hotel lobby?

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

This next item may surprise you but nail polish is on my must-have list! Whether I need to touch up my toes or freshen up my mani, I like to know I'll have the shade I'm wearing within hands reach... No one likes feeling ratchet on vacation and bringing your current nail color is a great way to avoid that.

Speaking of looking ratchet, I always bring at least 3 hair ties and a handful of bobby pins with me because my hair is naturally curly and in the right climate, no matter what I do, it's going to show off it's au-naturale look. While I love rocking my curls, sometimes... It's nice to be able to pull my hair out of my face and frankly, being stuck without a hair tie just isn't fun.

Something else I bring with me just in case is my travel water bottle with a built in filter. I refuse to pay airport prices for water, plus I never know how badly jetlag will hit so I make sure I always bring my travel water bottle with me and then fill it once I get to the airport!

Another lifesaver while on vacation is eye makeup remover. Whether I'm attending a wedding or just spending time with family - most likely I'm going to shed a tear or two, although it'll be from laughing too hard... With that said, I don't want mascara and eyeliner smears all over my face so I make sure I always have a stash of my favorite way to remove it all.

On the same page as eye make up remover, I also bring an acne treatment cream with me, just in case my skin decides it wants to work against me. After using a facial cleanser, I apply a dot of a treatment before bed and I typically can wake up without a blemish!

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

While we're on the topic of beauty products, another thing I'm constantly having to combat are my eyebrows, so I always, always, always bring a pair of tweezers with me on a trip. You never know when you'll find that one stray hair throwing off your look so having tweezers while traveling are a must!

The last item I always make sure I bring is something that helps me stay fit. I know that my activity tracker and it's charger are two things that always accompany me while I'm on the go... I love being able to know how much I walk while I'm sight-seeing and finding out my calories burned for the day let's me know how much I can indulge in my favorite foods back home.

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

As I said, I don't think I'm too high maintenance... I just know what I like and/or want and I'm sure to bring it with me! Luckily, my Vera Bradley bag easily holds all of this AND my clothes!

Heading out on an adventure is fun but making sure you have the essentials while traveling is important, check out my list of must have items while traveling!

So tell me, what do you have to bring with you on vacations? Do you have any travel essentials that you literally can't travel comfortably without? Tell me all about your favorite items to bring with you adventures in the comments below!
