The BEST Way to Make Homemade Bubbles

By Lauren Harmon - Saturday, June 13, 2020

This year we've spent a ton of time at home, like many people. That means we've been trying to find ways to keep our little wild child occupied... and that involves lots of time spent outdoors, chasing bubbles through our backyard and sometimes even having competitions to see who can make the biggest bubbles.

We used to be the type to buy bubbles from the store...then we experimented and started making our own. Want to make your own...? Here's how:

The BEST Way to Make Homemade Bubbles

6 cups water
1/2 cup blue dawn dish soap
1/2 cup corn starch
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp corn syrup

Simply mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl... stirring well. Allow the mixture to "mesh" together for about an hour, stirring about every 10 minutes.

Now you can get to blowing bubbles... wands like these are the BEST! I've also heard the string wands are amazing as well!

Just so you know, this is literally the most amazing bubble recipe on the planet. As I mentioned, we've spent countless hours in our backyard making huge bubbles and giggling. I know, these times are definitely what I'll try and remember when I reflect back on how we spent our quarantined time. So tell me, how have you spent all your time at home? If you give this bubble recipe a try, be sure to come back and tell me how much you love it!
